Oh, and I did try to follow the instructions for install MakeMKV fresh from their own homepage but, of course the instructions are incomplete inasmuch that when I get to the command './configure', my system doesn't find the package. So is there a global command to update ALL packages, especially the ones I am using all the time. I am also presuming now that all packages will be the same if this has happened with this package. I would have tried similar on the MakeMKV package but, I can't find it. Not much of a manager if it doesn't offer to update or install the latest package. I don't see a way to do this through Mint's own software manager.

How do I update the MakeMKV package to latest version? I have been using it for a while but, now it gives the message that it is an old version and I should update.
